The blog's name was founded with my friend's help on 7 October 2008. For privacy purposes, she is referred to as JT here. I was slightly offensive in some word choices back then and "bollocks" was, at the time, one of my favorite words to use, when I was exasperated or annoyed. But, it was fun to say, no matter the mood, so it kept me a little bit lighter in mood than other words I was prone to using. The "fic" part was picked out for two reasons: the "play on word" concerning its sound, and for what I liked and wanted to use the blog for discussion about: books and stories of fiction and non-fiction.
JT and I liked the way the title played with words and sounds together, so the title of the blog was born on that day. I forgot what else happened on 7 October 2008, though.
